Golf here is nothing short of spectacular.
In April of 2007, Jeffrey D. Blume Limited was commissioned to re-design the golf course in order for it to better compliment the other Texas resort activities being offered. This Texas golf course had fallen into a state of disrepair/abandonment, and needed a complete renovation so that it could fill its role as the finest Texas resort golf course in the Houston marketplace. Some alterations were made in the golf course configuration relative to par to improve playability. Specifically this related to reversing the front and back nine holes to their original rotation, changing the fourth and thirteenth holes from weak par fives to strong par 4s, and changing the ninth hole from a brutal par 4 into an enjoyable, risk/reward par 5. Even though this resulted in reducing the par from 72 to 71, the overall length of the Texas golf course was increased by approximately 150 yards by relocating back tees and repositioning greens where possible.
The Course
Create lasting friendships on our newly re-designed 18-hole championship golf course by renowned golf course architect Jeffrey Blume. Houston’s newest 18 hole, par 71 course was designed with memorable golf experiences in mind. In that spirit all of the critical golf course elements (greens, tees, bunkers, lakes, mounds, hollows, vegetation and light) were used in culminating 18 unique holes that meld into one harmonious collage.

The Club House
The Clubhouse at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa is a rustic, yet warm and charming repose for golfers from all walks of life. Majestic wood-beamed ceilings rise-high above the Final Putt Lounge where sensational food and laughs can be shared by all. Glass walls and skylights round out the architectural features of this golfer aficionado’s playhouse.
The Clubhouse features spacious men and women’s locker rooms with a lounge and showers; a private members only lounge, an outdoor patio overlooking the lakes of our breathtaking 1st and 18th holes and a retail area with the latest golf apparel, clubs and accessories.
